I knew when I first met Kate and she told me all about her wedding that it was going to be special, I just underestimated how special!
On the morning of the wedding Charlie got ready at the home he shares with Kate in Haworth. Kate's preparations took place at her family home, a beautiful small holding high above Laneshawbridge. The surrounding scenery was stunning. Everything was very relaxed, with lots of laughs and champagne. Kate wore some beautiful heirloom jewellery, including the head-piece which was her Grandmothers. A vintage Morris Minor took her and Dad to the venue, Barden Tower near Bolton Abbey. Barden Tower is beautiful. The grounds are immaculate and the newly renovated chapel is stunning with the most amazing, massive leaded window producing a gorgeous natural light. Charlie looked very dapper as he waited for his radiant Bride to arrive and when she did the look on his face said it all. As Kate met Charlie at the alter she showed him her "Wifey for Lifey" shoes, which made them both crack up! After the ceremony everyone mingled in the grounds of Barden Tower and then waved off the new Mr & Mrs James as they made their way to Burnsall Village Hall. I cant imagine the village hall has ever looked more splendid. The time and effort that Charlie, Kate and their families had lavished on the hall was evident everywhere. The day was relaxed, informal and fun and the Gin Bar certainly went down well!
I dont think I have ever captured a wedding I loved more but I know for a fact I have never seen a bride who smiled as much as Kate did!
