This was my first time capturing a wedding at Oakwell Hall in Bingley and I was very impressed. The Hall it's self is imposing with an wonderful staircase, gorgeous seating areas and fab grounds. The whole day flowed beautifully. Natalie got ready with here with her Bridesmaids and her Mum. Everyone was very relaxed and there were lots of girly giggles. Chris got ready with his groomsmen at home, my second shooter, Sue was there to capture the boys before joining me at Oakwell Hall for the rest of the wedding.
Now the ceremony, as we all know, has some tricky vows that can be difficult to get your head around when the nerves kick in! But when Chris stumbled over a couple of those pesky words, it only served to break the ice and the rest of the ceremony went beautifully. The look of utter relief on Chris's face when it was all done and he was about to walk down the aisle with his new wife was a picture not to be missed!
After the ceremony, drinks and canapes were served as the guests mingled. They were entertained by a fabulous young swing-singer.
The room for the wedding breakfast was dressed in a gorgeous vintage theme, with cut glass decanters, pearls and beautiful flowers. Flowers featured heavily at this wedding, with each of the bridesmaids having a different bouquet made up in her favorite flowers.
Natalie broke from tradition and made a heart-felt speech at the wedding breakfast that had her Mum in tears; there were plenty of laughs too tho.
In the afternoon the rain stopped and the sun came out. Everyone was able to mingle on the lawn and it was the perfect opportunity to capture the Bride and Groom portraits.
Later in the evening there was the cutting of the cake and the bride threw her bouquet, to be caught by a very happy guest! Chris and Natalie then danced the night away with their family and friends.
Thank you so much Chris & Natalie for choosing me to capture your wedding day, it was an honour. Mya xXx
Thank you Sue at Missy Moo Photography for shooting with me ..... you will always be "Julie" to the boys tho!!!
