Rob & Helen Get Married. A wedding at Skipton and Piccolino's in Ilkley

Rob and Helen got married 8 years to the day they had their first date! Which made a usually dull Monday in November, feel very special indeed.

Helen got ready at the Crescent Inn in Ilkley. It's a lovely place with boutique rooms and a wide staircase with fabulous atmospheric lighting. Helen looked amazing and super-sophisticated in a very 20's inspired way. Helen's bridesmaids, Emma and Sara, looked really glam too in jewel inspired colours. Daughter Pearl and Niece Ruby were the flower girls ....and talking of flowers ... these were fabulous!!!  Helen's sister, Julia, her Maid of Honor; owns Flower Couture in Bingley, so all the stops were pulled out for this particular wedding !! The bouquets were a heady mix of white hydrangeas & burgundy hydrangeas which were Mum's favorite along with white Phalenopsis orchids, David Austin roses 'patience, 'sweet Avalanche' blush roses, grey 'mentha' roses, asparagus fern sprayed rose gold and grey 'dusty Miller' foliage. Helen's bridal bouquet also incorporated her late Mum's favourite pearl necklace. It was all aboard the vintage bus to the Ceremony at Skipton Registry Office. Afterwards there was a quick confetti throw before everyone got back on the bus to return to Ilkley. The Roof Terrace at Piccolino's looked amazing! Julia had dressed it with the most amazing flowers!! Guests were greeted with very sophisticated Mojito or Cosmopolitan cocktails on arrival. After the heart-felt speeches, guests enjoyed delicious Italian food, followed by cake, lots of cake! The light and the weather were against us for the Bride and Groom portraits, but we did our best to capture the newly weds. Rob and Helen's first dance was lovely but Helen and her Dad's dance stole the show .... I wonder how many guests knew that Helen's Dad could move like that!!
